Calling on voters in the Samuel Miller District with the Lowry for Albemarle Interns
We were told at the Sorensen Institute that way local elections were won is by calling on the voters at their homes. You have to love it!
I am sure other candidates are out calling because of feedback in different neighborhoods. I do not know how they are doing it but my approach was to find some help. I went to the local high schools to speak with Principals who polled their Government departments and voila! three interns popped up. Basically college entry age and an interest in politics.
I could not do this canvassing without them. It really is the best intelligence, the best way to make connections and do you ever get to know some places you’d never been before.
Oops …. that me be me knocking on your door. Cheers!
